Key Personnel - Ian Hall - Director

Ian HallIan Hall set up Saper Hall with fellow Director Roger Saper in 1999, providing a high level property consultancy service targeted at developers, occupiers and landowners.

A graduate of Cambridge University, Ian worked for Jones Lang Wootton (now Jones Lang LaSalle) for 17 years, reaching the position of Director in charge of the out-of-town Retail Department, dealing with the development, leasing, sale and acquisition of retail warehousing, car showrooms and the emerging formats of warehouse clubs and factory outlets. He was instrumental in bringing two new retail concepts to the UK, acting for the Factory Outlet developer and operator McArthur Glen and the Warehouse Club operator Costco.

Ian also has experience of large mixed use development having provided advice on major schemes including 55 acres in Cambridge for Anglian Water/Railtrack, 100 acres in Cricklewood for Railtrack, The Fort in Birmingham and Monks Cross, York. Other major clients whilst at JLL  included British Gas, Railtrack/Network Rail, Anglian Water, Waitrose, Laura Ashley, Countrywide Farmers and Christie-Tyler.

Since establishing Saper Hall, Ian has represented a number of developers including Chancerygate, European Land, Sackville Properties and Bride Hall Developments looking to acquire sites for a variety of uses, particularly industrial, retail warehousing and food stores. On the occupier side he has provided strategic advice and a comprehensive property service to Christie-Tyler and Countrywide Farmers and assisted Waitrose, Laura Ashley and Costco with operational requirements.
